Party on the Mall

My trip to London coincided with the handing over of the olympic torch from Beijing to China. To commemerate the event, London was in a party.
They had a big concert just outside Buckingham Palace. Unfortunately I don't have tickets...

A walk in the City

Bus No11 dropped us at the Liverpool St station.
Had some time before catching a play in London's West End... so we went for a walk in the City. So deserted during the weekend...

If you're ever in London, some of the buses ply a route which will take you through some of the major sights.
So no need to take the much more expensive open top sighseeing tour bus. However, for better view and less camera shake, especially for first timers, I wouldn't immediately discount that option. It's still the best way to *absorb* what the great city has to offer if you're short on time.

This time, I've decided to *hit* the markets while in London.
And since I'm here on a Saturday, I didn't want to miss the opportunity to visit this famous market.
It has everything from antiques, food, clothings, arts... and teeming with people!!

On the famous double decker
|

This time, I wanted to spend as much time as possible above ground.
Although slower, the london red double decker bus provides a better view than riding the Tube.

Trafalgar Square... and nearby Chinatown

I never tire of coming here... this is to me, like the centre of London.
On the west is the shopping area & all matters royal, to the north your entertainment district, to the east the financial centre and the south is the government & the Thames.
Datang London, mesti datang sini!

First destination...
Letak bag, took a shower, had some breakfast and off we go to this famous landmark and one of Tao's favourite haunts
No wonder his eyes lit up when he talked about this place... it's a foodies' heaven!!
