The first leg of our trip is to London (30/4 - 2/5)
Amt has never been to London, plus London has the best connection to the rest of Europe... ergo.
Arrived in Heathrow early morning and took Paddington Express (on hindsight, should have taken Paddington Connect instead, which is cheaper yet more convenient than taking the tube into London).
Booked ourselves a night at St David's Hotel (whenever I'm in London, I either stay here or at Travelodge... unless if it is an official trip ). Our room was not ready, so I decided to take a quick shower at one of their bathrooms before heading out. No point staying there and waiting until our room is ready. London is waiting!!
Not sure what to do first, we decided to take the infamous double decker red bus towards Liverpool St station. Amt wanted to see the "gherkin". So off we go...
